Bullet Porcupine Quill Earrings

Hand-polished and drilled both brass and silver toned .22 LR casings were used in the design of these earrings. I purchased a handful of quills at my local bead shop. Picking some as pairs I knew earring were a have to!!!

The quills naturally were very pokey and I have cut and filed them to dull them out for wearing as jewelry. I kept the integrity of the look by not going to extreme on the modifications. The bullet casings are perfect for capping off these quills. It delivers the right amount of edge and is a bold statement piece that can also be used in everyday styling since they are naturally lightweight and comfortable.
