Abalone Wood Burned + Wrapped Earring

I’ve taken these rectangular wood pieces and accented them with a couple strokes from a wood burner. I stained the wood and added a hole. I riveted the hole for security and then added the beautiful iridescent abalone stone by taking my 20g wire and wrapping in a way to highlight the simple the woodburning. The stones I choose are flat and fit right up against the wood!

These are an original design and they are very interesting take on wire work as I have incorporated the very lightweight material of wood. I love mixing materials and love the design of these. They truely are an easy go to for every day wear. They have an earthy but edgy vibe and can be used to accessorize a range of different styles!! These measure a little over an inch and are the perfect little lightweight dangles that glisten!
